The Bieberhaus Diaries: Neasden leaves his mark

Now, the progress is more easily visible: yesterday, moki put up her 8 meter long worm under the ceiling. The first painting (also by moki) is up, still under bubble wrap. Stephen Smith / Neasden Control Centre has left his first marks on the walls, and also his watchtower is being rebuild.
With the added workforce of Elisabeth, Dherry (our project craftsman from NoNewEnemies) and Sam, we are setting up roughly 30 more meters of walls ... check for more images by clicking "continue reading" below, and we'll keep you posted with the development right here at the site ...

5 years heliumcowboy artspace - the work has begun.

Beginning of this week, we started moving into the location for our big anniversary show. The office furniture has been built, the staircases are secure, the first walls set up. Still tons of garbage to carry out in the trash, still 20 meters of walls to be set up, still so much to do before the grand opening on the 12th of july.
We will try and keep you posted at the site about the developments, it is great to see the rooms change and things shape up...

SCOPE Basel 2008 - the photos.

To view all photos we took from building up the booth and the special projects by Stephen Smith/Neasden Control Centre (Watchtower) and Boris Hoppek (Watertaxis), click on the image above or the link below. Additionally we featured modart-supported artists Die Seiner from Switzerland in our booth, who did a great paste-up work on the walls.
For the pricelist of the new works shown in Basel by Boris Hoppek, Christophe Lambert and Stephen Smith, you'll also find the link to download/open the pdf-file below.

DARE: new magazine launched

It is not just because they feature a big interview with our gallerist, Jörg, inside. It is also not because they invited Jörg to speak on the panel at their launchparty last weekend at Westwerk. Or that heliumcowgirl Veronika supplied the photo for the artwork on the cover. Or that it is full to the brim with a lot of artists we admire. No, we really do feel that this is one of the freshest, strongest, best designed, outstandingly written and ... simply most remarkable art publications we held in our hands in a long, long time: the new DARE magazine is out! Issue number 2, titled "Hype", features stories with and about artists, movers and shakers from the art scenes of Hamburg and Berlin.
Get it at galleries, selected bookstores, or directly through their website:
