ARTISTS SUBMISSIONS | KÜNSTLER-BEWERBUNGEN

The heliumcowboy artspace is currently not looking for new artists.

However, under certain circumstances we are still accepting applications, but we need them in a special form (see below) and cannot guarantee a reply. If we like it, we will get back ... if it doesn't touch us, irrespective of the quality of the work, you may never again hear of us. This doesn't mean the work is bad, or poor, it just means that it doesn't fit to us. We can still be friends.

BEFORE you send us anything, please check this site thoroughly, visit the artists pages and albums of our past shows, and see how you would fit in. For example, if you're a traditional landscape painter or are just painting as a hobby, we probably will not be interested in your work. We look for artists with the ability to break boundaries and establish the future aesthetic of art - and who are still a bit underground, cutting-edge and ideally with an established audience and record of shows.

in case you are interested in sending us more information, please send it via email only(ideally as pdf, we DO NOT send applications back by standard mail, so NEVER send us originals or valuable printed matter etc.!!!!). If you do not have professional digital quality images and materials, do not send them. We are a professional gallery and we expect you to be professional.

We need the following:

> information about you (personality, sympathy and passion is more important to us than historical records of teachers, universities or diplomas)
> image material (examples) incl. details about technique, sizes, materials etc.
> your approach & motivation as an artist
> if applicable, photos from past exhibitions, giving us an idea of how you usually present your work
> if applicable, references from buyers, exhibition makers, galleries, artists, the press
> a quick draft of your idea for a show at our gallery

This may seem a lot, but it doesn't have to be long stories. Be yourself.

Please do not call the gallery to see if we have received your mail or to fix an appointment. If we are hooked by what you are doing, we'll contact you.

And, again: We do not possess the time nor the resources to provide feedback or a critique of your artwork. A rejection is not a reflection of the quality or integrity of your work. There are many factors that dictate what we show, so please do not take it personally if you don't make it onto our calendar.
