Back from Basel - we had a fantastic time at the fair (and beyond...). To view all photos we took from building up the booth and the special projects by Stephen Smith/Neasden Control Centre (Watchtower) and Boris Hoppek (Watertaxis), click on the image above or the link below. Additionally we featured modart-supported artists Die Seiner from Switzerland in our booth, who did a great paste-up work on the walls.
For the pricelist of the new works shown in Basel by Boris Hoppek, Christophe Lambert and Stephen Smith, you'll also find the link to download/open the pdf-file below.

DAY 5, 03.06.2008

SCOPE Basel has opened its gates yesterday. From today till sunday it is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. everyday. And we are very pleased with the special projects we realised with Boris Hoppek and Stephen Smith/Neasden Control Centre, and we have a fantastic booth with the most comfortable sofa of all fairs ...
And join us for the big SCOPE/VOLTA/Balealatina-opening party tonight, hosted by Modart magazine, starting at 8 p.m. on the river: Das Schiff, Westkai/Basel.

The booth, the sofa, the Lambert, the Neasden.

DAY 4, 02.06.2008

Almost finished. Today at 1 p.m. the fair opens its doors, and we have a few hours left to clean up our mess.... yesterday we installed Boris' flags on the boats, took it for a spin on the Rhine, and Steve and Dherry are done with the watchtower, which we actually will ship to Hamburg after this to show at our big 5 years anniversary exhibition next month (unless of course we sell it).

Installing the flags on the river taxis ...

Dherry, Boris, Swiss flags swiss flags swiss flags (they're everywhere)

Using Bamboo as flagpoles ... unfortunately one of the flags is too large for the bridges, so that'll go right outside of the fair now ...

DAY 3, 01.06.2008

Day 3 of setting up. The watchtower by Stephen Smith/Neasden Control Centre is coming along pretty well. Dherry and Steve plan to finish it today. Also Boris Hoppek has arrived, with huge flags for the watertaxis, which we will install tonight. The booth should be ready later today as well, so we are prepared for all the openings and vernissages and parties that are coming this way.

DAY 1 & 2, 31.05.2008

Arrived in Basel on friday, starting to set up the Installation by Stephen Smith/ Neasden Control Centre and our booth. This year, SCOPE Basel is in a huge tent on the waterfront of the Rhine ... very good location. Dherry Jeurissen from modart is with us, helping Steve with his big watchtower, which will be located in the restaurant area of the fair. Christophe Lambert came by yesterday, dropping of some fresh artworks for the booth, and today we are waiting for Boris Hoppek to build massive flags on the water taxis on the Rhine ...

Rain, sun, thunderstorms, sun, heat - Basel in June, the outside area of the fair, still a lot to do.

shipping art? mostly wood with us ... oh and nice, comfy furniture we organised second hand here in Basel yesterday ...

Dherry and Steve ... and .. erm, wood.

more wood...

The booth, almost ready. Christophe Lamberts work above the sofa on the left, Stephen Smith/Neasden Control Centre canvases on the right.
